Tushar Rishi – Who Fought Against Cancer and Secured 95% Score in XII Board Exams

Today Kris Carr is well known as a prominent expert on Healthy Living. Her self-help books, documentaries, wellness website www.kriskarr.com  and her blog –celebrating a decade thriving with cancer’ depicts the manner in which she tackled the chronic disease called ‘cancer’ head on. Today she is guiding people to develop the will power to fight this disease which is considered as incurable till date. She was diagnosed with Cancer in 2003 and year 2017 has learned how to lead a happy life with it. “When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going”—adage aptly suits such personalities.

Here is the story of Indian ‘Carr’ in the making—A 19-year-old boy by name Tushar Rishi from Ranchi who was diagnosed with Bone cancer in the year 2014 while was writing X standard mock exams. He had to give up one year of studies to undergo chemotherapy treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences-AIIMS, New Delhi. But undeterred by this deadly disease, He took up X board exams in the year 2015 and came out with a perfect 10 CGPA.

As Tushar himself has revealed in various interviews, He keeps all his affairs simple by focussing on academics and preparing consistently throughout the year to avoid pressure during Exam days. Today, Tushar Rishi has secured 95% marks in XII board exams. With 100 in fine arts, 95 in Physics, 95 in English, 93 in Maths and 89 in Computers. Unlike the majority of toppers of board exams, Tushar aspires to pursue Arts or Economics instead of mundane Engineering stream.

His mother Mrs. Ritu Agarwal is a Professor at BITS Pilani Institutes and Father Mr. Shashi Bhushan Agarwal is employed at state agricultural department of Jharkhand. Mrs. Ritu highlights the fact that Tushar didn’t take up any private coaching as part of preparation. They also bring out the fact that he is following a strict diet and undergoing constant treatment to avoid recurrence of cancer cells.

Literary Face of Tushar

As already pointed out, Tushar is inclined towards fine arts and literature. He has written a book called ‘The Patient-Patient,’ which portrays his story of surviving Cancer. This itself is a substantial proof of his passion for literature. Currently, this book available at Amazon stores is doing well in the market.
